Welcome Luncheon August 8
The Education Committee of the Chamber is holding a Welcome Luncheon for new educators in Kosciusko County on Friday, August 8th at the 2517 Restaurant, in Warsaw. The event is sponsored by Embarq and Teachers Credit Union. Chamber members are invited to supply the Chamber with give-away items for goody bags for the new educators. Eighty of each item you would like to donate is needed at the Chamber by August 1st. The event is by invitation only.
YAP Lunch Club August 13
The Young Adult Professionals (YAP) are holding a lunch Club meeting at Bogey’s Steak House on Wednesday, August 13th at noon. This event is a time to connect with others and is available for any young adult professional in their 20s or 30s. If you would like to attend, you are responsible for your own lunch.
“Maximizing the Millennials” August 20
Ivy Tech Community College – South Bend invites you to “Maximizing the Millennials,” Wednesday, August 20, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on the South Bend campus, 220 Dean Johnson Blvd. The seminar focuses on the Millennials, also called Generation Y, or simply, today’s young adults. They are our students, our employees and colleagues, our children… and our future. The featured speaker will be Jean Twenge, noted social psychologist at San Diego State University and author of the book, “Generation Me: Why Today’s Young Americans Are More Confident, Assertive, Entitled – and More Miserable Than Ever Before.” The event is free, but reservations are required.
